New Bakugan Toys and Bakugan Balls Reviewed | Bakugan Games Dojo

In 2009, Spin Masters has released a new lineup of Special Attack Bakuneon Bakugan. This is very exciting as the new Bakugan balls are a little bigger, much more detailed, and SUPER G powered! If you don't yet have a Bakuneon or two in your collection, you are going to want to get some since these will change how the game is played.

The Special Attack bakugan come in a few different types: Spin Bakugan, Dual Sided Bakugan, and Heavy Metal Bakugan. Of course, there is always the legendary bakugan and translucent ones as well. But this post is about the new Spin Bakugan and Dual sided Bakugan that just came out.

Spin Bakugan

Spin Bakugan offer a new dimension to the game. You wind them up before you roll them onto the field, and when they pop open they spin around randomly stopping to reveal a hidden G Power. Each Bakugan has a few different G Powers printed on their bodies, and whichever G Power is revealed when the spinner stop spinning is what you will go with. This adds an element of randomness to the game as your Bakugan could either end up super powerful or a little on the weaker side. If you have a few of these, you will probably want a couple reroll type ability cards in your hand just in case he ends up on a low G power. Should the Spinner stop on a high G Power, you have it made as this guy is sure to do some real damage!

Dual Sided Bakugan

The Dual Sided Bakugan are similar to the Spin Bakugan in that they too have an element of randomness to them. There are two sides to each Bakugan that pop open. Whichever side is on top is the one that you will have to play with. Many of these have a G power of 720 on one side, and the G power of 350 or so on the other. So there is a big difference between the two! Be prepared for either outcome with a Reroll card and a Reversal Ability card in your hand so that the lowest G power Bakugan will win if you end up with a low power. Your opponents won't ever see that strategy coming! So far the only dual sided bakugan available is the Dual Sided Preyus II.
