A Bakugan Battle is won and lost with how you play your ability cards and gate cards. It is essential that you have a plan and a strategy with your cards, and that they work together with your Bakugan and their attributes. Here's some quick tips for you to consider that will help you develop your own strategy:
Gate Cards:
Stand Off- This is a great gate card to play if you are a Subterra player or have high G Power Pyrus Bakugan. It prevents your opponents from playing their ability cards the whole game, so it becomes a pure duel of how much G Power you started with while boosting Pyrus handsomely.
Quick Charge- Similar to Stand Off, but even better if you are a Subterra player as it gives a huge boost to Sub-Terra.
Fire Pit- A great gate card to have if you are a Pyrus player. It is a favorite of many. It gives a big boost to your Bakugan, while giving nothing to the opponent.

Ability Cards:
Circle of Fire- If you a good roller, or have perfected the trick shot and you can land on your gate card every time then this ability card offers a great boost to you.
Dan`s Throw- If you have an opponet on your gate card, then use this awesome card. It lets you draw back one of your used ability cards to play again.
Stealin'- Awesome ability card that let's you put your used Bakugan back in your unused pile and steal one of your opponents used ability cards. If your opponent is inexperienced or plays their strongest card early, this card can utterly destroy them. It's very good to use later in the game.
Maruchos Throw- This card is very good to use when playing with Spin Bakugan or the Dual Sided Bakugan that have random G Powers. If you get a bad roll then redo it with this throw.
Call of Defenders- Good in a tight spot. In case you only have 1 Bakugan left, you get all your bakugan back, plus if you dont land on a Gate card, you get to roll again!

Here’s a better strategy. Use youre WEAKEST ventus bakugan with the perfect aim ability card and either g-power exchange or the duck and win gate card.

Sensei e-mailed me to post some new strategies, so here’s one for my favorite bakugan, Ventus Oberus. Use the Sandstorm gate card and Perfect Aim ability card.If You have really old cards that still have hsp, use the Black Hole gate card instead. Perfect Aim automatically puts a ventus bakugan on a gate card of youre choosing, no rolling. Sandstorm ups Obeus’s g-power from 420 to 590. Black Hole, on the other hand, ups it from 420 to 720. That might be why Black Hole is so rare.

Here’s my new strategy for today. Use more than one type of bakugan. some gate cards can subtract g-power. So use mixed types of bakugan. Like Haos/Subterra Drago. It gives you a wider variety of types with one bakugan. Then you can easoly corner youre opponent.

Here is another strategy. Use a weak bakugan with any gatecard as long as you use the Minefield ability card. It is like a suicide ability card, except it kills thoponent as well.
